I was born and raised in Guangdong, China. Thus, I am a native speaker of Mandarin and Cantonese. For those years in China, I had exposed to traditional Chinese culture and identify myself as a Chinese with modern thought and traditional Chinese culture. When I was sixteen-year-old, I moved to Hawaii, the first stop in United State. Since that, English became the major language in my life. I used it in school to help myself to develop my academic study, in the society to help me making connection with others, and also as tool to share my ideas to others.
At the same time, I also love to explore different Chinese culture by traveling to different parts of China and Taiwan. It is always a very fun part to observe how people speak in Mandarin in a different culture context. It gives me a chance to develop my Chinese and gather teaching materials.

Guilin (桂林), China
This was my trip to Guilin, one of the most famous resort in China. In here, I saw the beautiful nature of ancient Chinese landscape and learned about Chinese stories in this place. Besides that, I also learned about the culture of Minority in China.
Taipei (台北), Taiwan Taipei was a very modern state in Taiwan. It used to really look like Hawaii, but because of its civilization, its face is more liked California. But, my friends and I found the most famous waterfall in Taipei. This waterfall still remains its original face from long time ago. In Taipei, I also learned about Taiwanese culture and how people used Mandarin in their daily life context.
